It really makes me happy to see how much my blog has grown in just a few months. My goal is to start blogging more often. I need to take the time to share more of my life and recipes. I have some wonderful ones to share. Life just gets so busy that blogging slips my mind.

I have been painting our family room. The color is antique white and when I first started painting it looked really yellow. I was quite worried, but once it dried it looked so much better. I love it! With an old home with floors just as old it takes a lot of work to get the floors looking clean. I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the new swiffer sweeper vac. I was a little skeptical about how well it would work. I don't like to spend all day cleaning. I want cleaning to be a quick and easy process.

The swiffer is very lightweight and vaccuumed up spilled cereal extremely fast! It's also great if you have a pet that sheds the swiffer vac will work wonders for you. No more dragging our heavy vaccuum from the closet to clean up small messes. It's also very quiet so I don't have to worry about waking up the hubby.

It works wonders on my new wood kitchen floor and also on the older floors we haven't replaced, yet (July can't get here fast enough). I was very impressed by the new swiffer vac. I previously owned the older version and it wasn't quite this powerful. The swiffer pads are also great for dusting. Even dh doesn't mind cleaning up when he can use the swiffer.

I have an amazing etsy shop to share with you. I came across dearjes while searching for things to decorate our home with. As you all know we live in an older home and dh and I have been busy fixing it up and decorating it. Dearjes is a farm inspired shop with darling handmade items. We have a REAL bathroom door. We put it in last night. A real door...that doesn't have shutter pieces to close it...with all the bottom pieces missing! The old door permitted no privacy. This door actually closes and isn't a swinging like door.

AAAH I'm so thrilled over a door. I never would have thought.

I am beginning to adjust to living in Alabama. I still miss my old home, my family, but I haven't cried from being homesick in lately. My dad is coming to visit next week... Or well to work haha. He's going to work on some plumbing issues we're having, put in a new vanity (woohoo!), and possibly start putting our new floors in...and some other misc stuff! I can't wait to see him! I am so excited for him to get here.

Dh fixed the shower and we no longer have to use a wrench to turn the water off and on, however, we still have to use the wrench for the sink faucets. It's nuts, but we'll have a new sink and vanity put in next week. You have no idea how excited I am about that.

I started repainting the doors and trim white. It's amazing what a difference a little white paint can make. I love it. Dh made shelves for me which I painted white. They look excellent. As soon as I figure out where I put my camera I will share pics.

The house is starting to feel more like a home. I plan to start painting the moulding and the rest of the trim this week. I'll prob start with the dining room trim and moulding and then paint the dining room walls so I can complete the room and not have to move everything around!

This week I plan to contact sponsors about giveaways and reviews. I have a review coming up for a product I really liked and has made life easier!
